The Advent 2022 sermon series is centered around the question, "What happened in Bethlehem?" If Bethlehem could speak and was summoned to give an account of what happened there about 2000 years ago, what would be said?

Title: The Bethlehem Stable (Luke 2:6-21)
Theme: Historical reality of Jesus’ birth in a stable. The humble king of the universe makes an inconspicuous entrance. It is announced to shepherds and angels, the lowest and highest celebrate together.
3) December 11
Title: The Bethlehem Star (Matthew 2:1-12)
Theme: Magi from the East follow a star that leads them to Bethlehem. They understand the tremendous importance of the event – not just for them, but for the whole world.
4) December 18
Title: The Bethlehem Atrocity (Matthew 2:13-23)
Theme: Murder of the innocents: The forces of darkness unleashed on the innocents; a foreshadowing of what will happen to Jesus Christ.
5) December 25
Title: The Bethlehem Dynasty (Micah 5:1-5)
Theme: Bethlehem is the birthplace of Israel’s great kings: David & Jesus. Jesus, the son of David, becomes ruler of all nations, not just Israel.
