We have just started the Advent 2016 sermon series. It is based upon the genealogy of Jesus Christ as recorded in the book of Matthew. He traces the lineage of Jesus from Abraham to his mother, Mary. All the generations are represented by men, but Matthew mentions four women (besides Mary) in his list. Why does he do that and what can we learn from their inclusion?
